THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
It's been a while ... but I'm still here....
I know it has been forever since I posted much of anything. I want to be honest. I have been pretty stressed out.
May 25th marked the one year anniversary of the day I lost my best friend and husband. Now I am doing REALLY well, I am moving forward with my life. I am NOT moving on... just forward. I think about him everyday. There are good things coming up in my life but the sadness lingers.
To add to that my son is spending the summer with his dad in Oregon. Oh god I miss my little guy. He really is the light of my day. He says he misses me too. Which makes me smile and want to cry. He too has problems with my husbands passing.
My son Kelton and I , we are a team. We added a great guy to our team. He makes me feel normal again. He was one of Jackson's really good friends. He has been my pillar of support and strength. I know that these are the steps to beginning to live again.
For a while I forgot.. I forgot how to be normal and how to live. I still haven't really gone back to work. Don't get me wrong, I tried, but it broke my heart. One day I will explain what happened and why I can't do my job in my field of training. For now Just know it's better that I not.
Until then I'm still here just... coping and taking each day for what it is.

For the nursing Momma's
The biggest thing about nursing is of course to make sure that you are providing your child with the best you can give. But second to that it is a bonding between mother and baby. Ant mom who has been able to breast feed knows what I mean.
Nursing is public is always complicated. Some people are horrified or just simply rude when they see a baby nursing. My thought is if the breast is covered who cares. The baby has to eat!
Baby bond has just made it easier for all you moms. They have come up with a nursing cover that is in a sash style. So It covers mom and not the baby. This allows for mom to talk to baby and baby to see mom, making this a social experience.
Baby bond sent me the baby bond flex. I am normally a woman's size small and didn't want it to be too lose so I ordered a size one which is an extra small/small. I can wear it but its a bit snug. I am 128 lbs and 5'5". I wish I had gone up a size. So if you order one and are concerned I would go up one size just in case.
The baby bond is made of 100% cotton and washes nicely. It's also nice and soft so no fear of it bothering you skin or your sweet babies. It rolls up nicely into a small bag that is included. It also has a SUPER soft burp cloth for those who have messy eaters.
I wish I had this when I had my son. He hated not being able to see everything going on around him.

Prefense Non-Alcohol Hand Sanitizer
I received a bottle of Prefense hand sanitizer to try and then review for you.
I would like to start this by telling you I am an avid fan of hand sanitizers, I carry them with me everywhere. I mean everywhere. Even after washing my hands I still hand sanitize them. I hate being sick and I can't stand the thought of germs.
I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a germ-a-phobe but I would say I am just on the outskirts of that! As a nursing Assistant I know how important having clean hands really is. We never want to spread anything from one patient to another.
Most hand sanitizer products are alcohol based. Which in addition to not smelling wonderful, also drys out my hands. This is the biggest thing I don't like. Also if you wash your hands you MUST reapply.
With Prefense's Hand Sanitizer you don't have to reapply. It last for 24 hours. Yes you read that correctly. OR it will last though 10 hand washings. Either way it means I'm not reapplying every 20 mins.
I also love that this hand sanitizer does NOT dry out my hands. It actually makes them feel soft and smooth. You can litterly feel the immediate softening.
Ok do you all remember when there was a news incident about a child consuming hand sanitizer? Here is an article on snopes about it. While the odds of hand sanitizer being lethal are rare , who wants to take a risk like that with their childs safety. With this product you don't have to worry it is .....
- 100% Poison Free
- Safe for Kids
- Alcohol Free
Also it actually fight the germs as you go throughout your day.
Here is how their website describes it:
"Prefense’ active ingredient, AMOSILQ, is a silica complex that dries into an invisible, protective film that stands guard against pathogens you encounter throughout the day. If a transfer of germs occurs while AMOSILQ is on defense, it actively slices the cell wall of pathogens you confront for up to 24 hours, whether wet or dry."
I don't know about you but I am loving this!
In addition to having hand sanitizer in bottles they also have hand sanitizing wipes. which are safe for hands and FACE use. You know when you have a new baby and everyone wants to touch.... that is where this would come in handy!
And guess what? For reading my blog you just might win an 8 oz bottle for yourself, that is 640 applications!
